Travel Tips
1. Travel light! Facilities are available to leave luggage at the bottom of the mountain of Tunxi, so if possible please take a small bag or backpack for your overnight stay on the mountain. If this is not possible and you need to take luggage to the top of the mountain, U China Travel will ask the porters to carry your bags to the mountain.
2. Clothing & Shoes – Be sure to bring along a jacket as it gets chilly. Comfortable walking shoes are a must! High winds make using an umbrella difficult and sometimes dangerous, but raincoats can be purchased and are a very wise investment for protection from the rain and wind.
3. Pack a few light snacks and a bottle of water for the hike. Water and snacks are available on the mountain but tend to be pretty expensive.
4. A cable car runs up and down the mountain to ease the strain of the incline, but if you choose to climb lots of steep narrow stairs line the mountainside all the way up. Be sure to watch for passing hikers as you stop to photograph along the trail.
