- Mogao Grottoes: Just Southeast of Dunhuang City in Gansu Province, are the magnificently preserved Mogao Grottoes. The first cave was chiseled in AD 366 and continued to evolve over several dynasties from the 4th to the 14th centuries. The caves house the world's richest collection of Buddhist sutras, murals and sculptures. Photography is not permitted in the grottoes in order to preserve the condition of one of China’s most intact historical relics.

Destination: Dunhuang
Today' s Activities: Yumenguan Pass, Great Wall of the Han Dynasty

- Yumenguan Pass: One of two passes on the Western frontier, Yumenguan Pass was one of the main gateways connecting central and Western regions during the Han Dynasty. Shifting sands have eroded much of the gateway’s original detail, but the splendor of this magnificent structure is ever-present.
Yumeng Town: Stop in Yumeng Town to observe the site of China’s first oil field before heading to the Great Wall of the Han Dynasty.
- Great Wall of the Han Dynasty: Built as a defensive measure against the Xiongnu nomadic tribes, the Great Wall of the Han Dynasty was erected first under Emperor Han Wudi.

Destination: Dunhuang to Beijing, Flight No. TBA
