Yangzhou Transportation
Because Yangzhou is fairly small in comparison to many of China's main cities, its strategic location in close proximity to Shanghai and Nanjing make traveling convenient. Because the city is situated along the Yangtze River, water transport to many of China's cities is both convenient and practical from Yangzhou.
AIR: Yangzhou's closest airport is situated in Nanjing more than 100km away. Nanjing Lukou International Airport is approximately a 1hr 40min drive from the center of Yangzhou.
BOAT: The city's main harbor is located just 12km from the city center where the Grand Canal and Yangtze River meet. The harbor is not only the main hub for passenger transportation, but is also the main port of entry for freight, container distribution, and trade in the region. Passenger transport from Yangzhou venture as far as Nanjing, Wuhu, Jiujiang, Huangshi and Wuhan to the north, and Nantong and Shanghai to the south.
