Suzhou Transportation
As a popular destination for visitors, Suzhou is very easily accessible by several means of transportation.
AIR: While Suzhou's airport is very small and only operates one flight weekly, the city's close proximity to Shanghai makes it easy for visitors traveling by air. After arriving at Shanghai's airport, Suzhou is just an hour and forty-minute car ride away. Trains are also available from Shanghai and take about an hour.
TRAIN: More than 20 trains traveling along the Beijing-Shanghai Railway stop at Suzhou's rail station daily. The fast trains only take40 minuutes from Shanghai, 30 minutes from Wuxi and 1.5 hours from Nanjing.
BOAT: Suzhou's location along eastern China's Grand Canal makes it easily accessible by boat from cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Zhenjiang, Wuxi and Hangzhou.
BUS: Reaching Suzhou by cae is convenient from cities like Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou, and Zhenjiang. The high way system is very developed in this region.
