Shanghai World Financial Center
The Shanghai World Financial Center is currently the second tallest completed building in the world with a total height of 492 meters. It hosts mixed use facilities, with offices, hotels, conference rooms, observation decks, and shopping malls. The Park Hyatt Shanghai is the hotel component, which hosts over 174 rooms and suites and is listed as the highest hotel in the world. The observation deck rests 474 meters above ground level. The most distinctive feature of the building is the trapezoidal aperture at the peak of the building, which helps reduce stress from wind pressure.
