Shanghai Museum
Because of its scope, quality, and depth of its collections, Shanghai museum is considered one of China’s best museums. Shanghai Museum lies on the South side of People’s Square in the middle of the city. It covers an area of 38,000 square meters It features a collection of over 120,000 pieces, an ancient bronze exhibit, Chinese sculpture, ceramics, jades, calligraphy, as well as other ancient Chinese artwork. In addition to these main exhibitions, the museum often hosts small-scale exhibitions from elsewhere on a short-term basis.
