Jinmao Tower

 Jinmao, built in 1999, is the fifth highest building in the world and the second highest tower in China with 88 floors. This building is a modernized office building and luxurious five-star hotel located in the Pudong financial district along the Huangpu River.  Its facilities offer many services, such as exhibitions, full banquets, sightseeing decks, leisure and shopping. It features both traditional Chinese and Western-style architecture design.

Jinmao Building covers an area of over 290,000 square meters and rises to a height of 420.5 meters. The prosperous Pudong New District is to the east of the building while the beautiful scenery of Shanghai and the Huangpu River lies to the west. A central greenbelt covering 100,000 square meters lies at it northern side. It only takes 2 minutes to get to the most prosperous center of Puxi Area from Jinmao Building.

The latest structural technology was used to build Jinmao tower . The entire building's vertical deviation is only 2 cm, and can remain safely erect even in earthquakes up to Richter scale 7. The high-speed sightseeing elevator can hold 35 people each in each trip with a speed of 9.1 meters per second, requiring only 45 seconds to scale the whole entire building from the ground floor.
