Yangshuo Big Banyan Tree
The enduring, radiant beauty of Yangshou’s Big Banyan Tree has evolved throughout centuries of patient growth. Believed to have been planted during the Jun Dynasty, 
the gently stout tree stands approximately 7.5 kilometers south of Yangshou. Measuring 17 meters in height with a circumference of 7.1 meters, the 1,400 year-old Banyan continues to endure blowing winds and heavy rains. Unique characteristics such as straight, low branches create a distinctive identity for the beautiful tree. When it was featured in a memorable love scene in Liusanjie, a famous old Chinese movie, the Big Banyan tree received much notoriety and became a popular spot for lovers. Nearly 100sq meters of shade are provided by the lush umbrella of the Big Banyan Tree, making it an ideal location to relax and enjoy the mountainous scenery that surrounds it.
